On December 18, the inauguration ceremony for the new headquarters of EACON Mining Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "EACON") was held at Zijin Mansion in Shanghang County, Longyan City, Fujian Province. The official launch of the Shanghang headquarters marks a new chapter in EACON's corporate trajectory, signifies a deepened phase of strategic collaboration with Zijin Mining, and injects strong momentum into the technological development of Shanghang County.

01 A New Journey in Shanghang, Leading the Future with Intelligence

During the event, Guo Xiayuan delivered an opening address on behalf of the Shanghang County Committee, stating: "In recent years, Shanghang County has actively embraced new development philosophies and seized strategic opportunities in the wave of artificial intelligence. Building upon our RMB 100-billion-level gold and copper industrial cluster, we have proactively laid out future developments in autonomous driving. EACON has maintained a strong partnership with Shanghang County for years. The official launch of its headquarters building promises grander prospects for the company, accelerates Shanghang’s pace in building demonstration zones, and contributes significantly to regional economic and social progress."

Following the ceremony, attendees visited EACON's Shanghang Exhibition Hall and inspected the operational site of the autonomous driving project at Zijinshan Gold and Copper Mine—China’s largest gold mine. Launched in May 2024, the project has achieved routine, full-process driverless operations, accumulating over 1,400 kilometers of haulage distance while substantially improving mine safety and operational efficiency, paving the way to becoming a landmark autonomous driving demonstration base in Fujian.

02 Rooted in Shanghang, Driving Synergistic Growth

Founded in May 2018, EACON is an industry-leading provider of autonomous mining solutions and a national-level "Little Giant" enterprise. By integrating driverless technologies spanning vehicle, energy, road, and cloud systems with deep field operations expertise, EACON became one of the earliest companies to commercialize driverless mining operations at scale across real-world scenarios, including overburden stripping, coal mining, limestone, and non-ferrous metal mines. To date, the company's autonomous driving solutions have been deployed across more than 20 mines nationwide, with accumulated operational mileage exceeding 26 million kilometers. Ranking first in market share, EACON is set to exceed 1,000 active autonomous mining trucks soon.

Early in EACON's development, it established deep connections with Xinghang State-Owned Investment and Zijin Mining, building comprehensive partnerships across funding, project execution, and technological innovation. The official launch of the Shanghang headquarters marks the commencement of a new strategic journey for all parties.

Looking ahead, anchored by its Shanghang headquarters, EACON will fully leverage its capabilities in resource integration and innovation incubation. On one hand, the company will deepen its collaboration with Zijin Mining on engineering and technology innovation projects. Building on the collaborative platform formed by local government, Zijin Mining, the Strategic Consulting Center of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Tsinghua University, Tongji University, and Hunan University, EACON will establish an Intelligent Connected Commercial Vehicle Engineering Research Center to build an innovation hub for intelligent connected commercial vehicles in Fujian and achieve large-scale commercialization of autonomous driving. On the other hand, centered around the Shanghang headquarters, EACON will extend its reach across national and global markets, expand autonomous driving applications both inside and outside mining zones, cultivate talent and frontier technology in intelligent driving, and contribute to standardizing industry benchmarks.
