On the afternoon of November 4, 2025, Shi Shuqing, Director of the Science and Technology Bureau of Nanan District, Chongqing, visited the JD (Chongqing) Digital Economy Industrial Park for research and guidance. The visit aimed to gain deep insights into the growth of local tech enterprises, address operational challenges, and gather solid input for formulating the region's "15th Five-Year" tech innovation plan and updating support policies. Liu Nenghui, General Manager of JD Chongqing, hosted the delegation and presented a special report.

On-Site Inspection: Focus on Digital Intelligence and Innovation Platforms

Director Shi and his delegation first visited the park's Digital Intelligence Exhibition Hall. Through promotional films, interactive screens, and real-time big data dashboards, they reviewed the park's master plan, development history, and digital economy achievements during the "14th Five-Year" period. The exhibition hall highlighted the park's strategic role as the core hub for Nanan District's digital economy, showcasing its efforts in digital-real economy integration and industrial digital transformation.

To date, the park has gathered over 200 tech-driven enterprises—including 17 high-tech enterprises, 7 specialized and sophisticated "Little Giant" SMEs, and 79 registered science and technology firms. Covering core sectors such as smart supply chains, artificial intelligence, big data, and industrial internet, the park generated nearly RMB 10 billion in output value during the first three quarters of 2025, serving as a vital engine for regional digital economy growth.

Next, the research team visited the park’s AI Big Data Center to observe live demonstrations of the AI algorithm training platform. Director Shi inquired about the center’s role in upgrading traditional local industries and facilitating SME digital transformation. He commended the center's collaborative innovation model, which combines JD’s technical capabilities with local universities and research institutes.

As a core part of the visit, Director Shi toured the Park Innovation Center and visited three representative tech enterprises: Chongqing Huanwenwen Technology Co., Ltd., Chongqing Changkuo Technology Co., Ltd., and Chongqing Kunzhiyi Technology Co., Ltd. He held detailed discussions regarding their R&D progress, market applications, and future plans.

Symposium Discussion: Building Consensus and Shaping the Future Blueprint

Following the site visits, a symposium brought together representatives from government, industry, academia, and research sectors. Director Shi, leaders from the JD Industrial Park, experts from the Chongqing Academy of Information and Communications Technology and Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, alongside executives from the three featured tech firms, gathered for focused discussions.

The main objective of the meeting was clear: to gather first-hand information directly from front-line innovators regarding their operational challenges and pressing demands. These insights will serve as a pragmatic foundation for Nanan District as it formulates its upcoming "15th Five-Year" science and technology innovation plan and refines its regional innovation policies.
